8th Grade Honors Science

2nd week of 2nd six weeks

TEKS 8.7  (B)  demonstrate and predict the sequence of events in the lunar cycle; and
TEKS 8.7  (C)  relate the position of the Moon and Sun to their effect on ocean tides.

This week we will discuss the apparent phases of the moon and their relation to the position of the Earth and Moon with respect to the Sun.  Also we will discuss the Moons effect on ocean tides.

 Remember to draw the moon as you see it every night for the next 28 days starting today (10/13/14)
