Honors Texas History

The first shots of the Revolution were heard at Gonzales as the war began over one small cannon.  Mexican soldiers had arrived in 1835 to reclaim the cannon that had earlier been loaned to settlers.  They were met with a defiant "Come and Take it."

This week we look at the significance of the Battle at Gonzales and what role "Come and Take it" plays in our society today.
